Greetings Members and Friends,
I am proud to announce that the Waukesha County Detachment Marine Corps League received the National Jr. Vice Commandant's Citation for exceeding the previous year's membership within twelve months of the beginning of the current Fiscal Year. Congratulations to all of our members for your hard work in gaining new members.
Thank you to all who were a part of the Annual Family Picnic. It was a great success and a good time was had by all.
In the month of August, past Commandant, Lynn Sabel, and I were able to go to the state capital a be part of the National Cell Phones for Soldiers presentation by Governor Scott Walker and the program's co-founder Robbie Bergquist. It was a great priviledge to be there with many other Veteran's organizations, reservist and active duty soldiers, elected officials, as well as capital staff.
The month of September brings our Annual Rose Drive the weekend of September 7th. Please join us in our largest fundraiser of the year. Contact the detachment Paymaster, Clarence Stoel, for a location letter and supplies.
